ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Provides leadership to ensure administrative supports for the post-graduate doctoral programs.
* Collaborates with admissions office and works with faculty in recruitment strategies and outreach for ACTCM academic programs.
* Assures compliance with federal, state, city and accreditation agencies' regulations, laws and guidelines.
* Collaborates with faculty and Academic Dean to promote a culture of research literacy for ACTCM educational programs.
* Collaborates closely with faculty and ACTCM's academic leaders to integrate research into ACTCM's clinical and educational programs.
* Collaborates with the ACTCM Academic Dean on hiring, retaining and evaluating DAOM and transitional DACM faculty.
* Oversees, and ensures that policies and procedures are maintained in the DAOM and transitional DACM programs.
* Collaborates with the Director of Institutional Effectiveness and Academic Associate Dean on program data collection and ensure that the program achieves established educational goals and objectives.

Job Description

The Director of Postgraduate Doctoral Programs is responsible for providing comprehensive administrative supports to students and faculty for the post-graduate doctoral programs (DAOM and transitional DACM) at ACTCM at CIIS, and provides other academic support as directed by the Academic Dean.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
* Master's degree in acupuncture and Chinese medicine field; Doctorate in AOM field is preferred.
* A minimum of fifteen years of academic administrative, supervisory, and management experience at an accredited or candidate program in acupuncture and Chinese medicine.
* A minimum of fifteen years of experience in teaching AOM at an accredited or candidate program in acupuncture and Chinese medicine.
* A commitment to innovation, improvement and student-centered engaged learning.
* Ability to interact effectively with faculty, students, staff and the public.
* Excellent writing, communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, Adobe Photoshop, and academic software.
* Experience with managing the content of academic program website pages.
* Well-organized, attentive to detail, and able to meet deadlines.
* Willingness to work evenings and weekends, as needed.
