About the Employer

Cherry Blossom Healing Arts is an acupuncture and Chinese herb clinic in Woodley Park, Washington DC. Strong growth in the practice has opened an opportunity for a recent graduate to join the team as a salaried acupuncturist, starting around 4 September 2017.

Job Description

Job Benefits:

  • $45k salary, with practice performance bonuses of up to an additional $10K (based on the overall performance of the practice)

  • 4 weeks of PTO

  • Coverage of your malpractice insurance, uniform allowance, DC licensure, CEU funds, and a percentage contribution to a retirement account

  • 4 day work week (Sunday-Wednesday, ~37 hours)


Responsibilities:

  • Treatment of patients using all modalities in oriental medicine (acupuncture, moxibustion, cupping, gua sha, granular Chinese herbs, nutrition, and so on)

  • Maintain excellent patient relationships

  • Maintain complete, accurate chart notes

  • Assist in administrative work, including insurance processing, marketing, and other operational needs

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • By the start date, have a Dipl. OM. from the NCCAOM and be competent in prescribing granular Chinese herbs

  • By the start date, have an active license for acupuncture in the District of Columbia

  • By the start date, have a MSOM degree or equivalent from an accredited school

  • By the start date, have begun the process of credentialing for CareFirst BlueCross, Aetna, and Cigna (we will assist in this process)

  • Be able to be on your feet for lengthy periods of time

  • Be competent or able to learn how to use EHR and other online software pertinent to the practice
