The Acupuncture and Wellness clinic is happy to announce an opening for next year’s Residency Program.  This two-year residency is designed to hone your clinical skills while at the same time teaching you what it takes to run a successful clinic.  Residents will have the opportunity to treat 30-40 patient visits per day under the tutelage of Robert Doane, one of the top TCM practitioners in this country.

The Residency Program is a two-year, paid training program designed to teach you all aspects of being a successful Chinese Medical Practitioner. Repetitive exposure to the vast array of health conditions and their treatment strategies with herbs, diet, and acupuncture will build your confidence clinically and will provide the bedrock of your future practice.  You will complete the program competent in:

• DNA, Distal Needle Acupuncture


• Medical Pulse Diagnosis


• Advanced herbal medicine


• Dietary techniques for weight loss, allergies and more

Statistics show that many of you who earn a Master’s degree in Chinese Medicine will not be using that degree within the next three years for professional income.  Sharp business skills are essential to sustaining a thriving clinic and our residents are exposed daily to various skills required in running a large scale practice.  This includes:

• All clinic operations and organization


• All paperwork required for patients and staff


• Marketing and Advertising


• Public Speaking

As a resident, you will work full time, (40+ hours per week).  You will be required to attend various marketing events, both to learn how to sign up new patients as well as practice doing pulse diagnosis on large numbers of people.

While we are not necessarily looking for someone with vast clinical experience, we are adamant about finding the person with the right attitude. This Residency Program is only for those practitioners who want to master this medicine and how to become a successful business owner.

To help us determine whether you will be the right fit for our clinic we have an extensive interview process. If you are interested in this position, we ask that you plan to spend two to three days in our clinic, during which time you will work with Bob as well as spend time with the other staff members. This approach gives you a unique glimpse into the fast pace and high standards we maintain on a daily basis.

We have a great team of staff at this clinic, and we all love the work that we do - despite the long and very busy days. We want our next resident to be someone who shares our vision. You must be the type of person who loves to work hard, is passionate about Chinese medicine, and is truly dedicated to helping as many people as possible in their quest for optimum health.
