Description
We are seeking a full-time Director to manage the Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (DAOM) program at Five Branches University, Graduate School of Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Jose, California. The position requires a candidate with knowledge and experience in administration and education. Knowledge of Traditional Chinese Medicine or related medical fields, and fluency in both English & Mandarin are a plus. The Director of the Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (DAOM) program, working with the President and Dean of the University, has overall responsibility for the administration, quality and success of the DAOM program. With your team, you will lead, manage and oversee:- The DAOM program administration and academics
- The DAOM Academic Committee
- Marketing, web site and publications
- Admissions and enrollment
- Faculty appointments and scheduling including clinic
- Student services including registration, records, communications, publications and assessment
- Oversee continuing education applications
- Assure compliance with accreditation standards, and federal and state regulations
Hours and Remuneration
Hours: 30-40 hours/week Salary: Remuneration is commensurate with experienceQualifications
- Doctoral or Masters degree in education, administration, Traditional Chinese Medicine, or related fields
- Enjoys working as part of a team
- Experience in accreditation
- Experience in administration
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent computer skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent administrative skills
- Good marketing skills
- Enjoys working in a multi-cultural environment
- Available one weekend a month when Doctoral modules are being presented
