Elevate Wellness & Acupuncture Center is a holistic family wellness center in South Lake Tahoe, CA. Elevate is contracted to develop and provide acupuncture services at the Barton Center for Orthopedics and Wellness. We are looking for an acupuncturist to provide services at that site as well as a few hours at the Elevate location.Job Description
The acupuncturist is a licensed professional who will be an employee of Elevate Wellness & Acupuncture Center providing care in accordance with the standards, policies, and practices at the Barton Center for Orthopedics & Wellness and Elevate Wellness & Acupuncture Center. Treatments will be performed in the acute and outpatient settings and will be in addition to traditional medical/treatment services. As part of Integrative care, the acupuncturist will work in conjunction with other health care team members to ensure holistic and coordinated care is achieved. The acupuncturist will also provide services in the community acupuncture setting.Qualifications
EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE:Minimum:
2 years of recent clinical acupuncture experience. Work with pain management, cancer support, women’s health, orthopedics and chronic care support.
Desired:
Experience in working in an Integrative medicine clinic or within a hospital facility or allopathic setting and community acupuncture setting.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
Minimum:
Current licensure with the California State Board of Acupuncture.
Current CPR recognition.
Credentialed through the Barton Health System staff office.
SKILLS/ KNOWLEDGE/ ABILITIES:
Must demonstrate technical competence, professional clinical judgement, communication skills and sensitivity for the patient. Work well in an interdisciplinary team model with good communication and problem solving skills. Able to work independently and initiate problem solving as needed. Desire to work on enhancement of Integrative Services offerings. Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.
