Elevate Wellness & Acupuncture Center, PC is a private practice holistic medicine clinic in South Lake Tahoe. Elevate has been contracted with Barton Center for Orthopedics & Wellness to administer and provide acupuncture services at the center facility.

Job Description

We are looking for an acupuncturist to join our integrative medicine and wellness team at the Barton Center for Orthopedics and Wellness. The acupuncturist will be working at the newly constructed state of the art facility in the orthopedic clinic which also houses rehabilitation services, sports performance center and wellness services and classes. This acupuncturist will treat a variety of conditions not limited to orthopedics. This is a 32 hour/week position, hourly rate. This acupuncturist will be employed by Elevate Wellness & Acupuncture Center but will be placed to work at the Barton Center under their guidelines and supervision.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE:  Minimum:  2 years of recent clinical acupuncture experience. Work with pain management, cancer support, women’s health, orthopedics and chronic care support.  Desired: Experience working in an Integrative Medicine clinic or within a hospital facility or allopathic setting and community acupuncture setting.    LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: Minimum: Current licensure with the California State Board of Acupuncture.  Current BLS certification, or ability to obtain prior to start date (American Heart Association BLS for the Healthcare Provider) Credentialed through the Barton Health System staff office.    SKILLS/ KNOWLEDGE/ ABILITIES:  Must demonstrate technical competence, professional clinical judgement, communication skills and sensitivity for the patient. Work well in an interdisciplinary team model with good communication and problem solving skills. Able to work independently and initiate problem solving as needed. Desire to work on enhancement of Integrative Services offerings. Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.
