Job Description

Ann Arbor Community Acupuncture is looking for a full-time acupuncturist! We are a 501(c)3 non-profit clinic in Ann Arbor, MI. We have been growing non-stop since opening in 2015, with 2 acupuncturists providing about 7000 treatments per year.

Our ideal candidate is somebody who is looking to make this clinic their career. The reason we converted to a non-profit was to make our clinic as sustainable as possible, we want acupuncture to be affordable and available to our community for years to come. To do that, our goal is to also provide sustainable employment. Our clinic only works if our acupuncturists stick around. As a non-profit, our clinic is legally a publicly-owned charity organization, which provides a unique opportunity for employees to share responsibility, grow with the clinic, and essentially become a partner in managing the clinic.

This position will start with a 3-6 month probationary period, during which pay and hours are flexible and negotiable. Pay will most likely be an hourly base with an additional per-patient commision. It would potentially be possible to remain on as a part-time employee for longer, but we would prefer for the right candidate to then become a full-time salaried acupuncturist.

Job description for full-time acupuncturists: Average 30 hours/week

-20-25 hours seeing patients (shift length is negotiable, total hours depend on other tasks. will need to average 75-100 treatments/week)

-5-10 hours performing other administrative tasks (depending on skills- payroll, bookkeeping, marketing, inventory, organizing, cleaning, etc)

-Start at $45k salary. Benefits- medical insurance, 403b retirement plan with matching, paid time off, paid parental leave, malpractice insurance, stipend for CEUs,. Because of our status as a 501(c)3 non-profit, you may also be eligible for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (this depends on other factors but both of our current acupuncturists are 3 years in to PSLF)

Start date- flexible. Skills and additional training- flexible. Community acupuncture experience- preferred but not necessary. We are most concerned with just finding somebody who is the right fit. Must be NCCAOM diplomate, willing to register in Michigan.
