Barbara grew up in upstate New York in the foothills of the Catskill Mountains. Barbara recieved a Master’s Degree in Health Education and a Masters Degree in Photography.
After a career for more than twenty-five years in photography, and Co-Owner of Summit Photographic Workshops, Barbara returned to school in 1998 to pursue her life long interest in health and medicine. Barbara decided to move from the Sierra Nevada Mountains to Santa Cruz, California, in order to study acupuncture and herbs at Five Branches Institute. In 2004 Barbara received a Master’s Degree in Oriental Medicine after she completed a summer internship at Zhejiang Hospital in Hangzhou, China.

Barbara has learned numerous healing techniques both ancient and modern and she now creates a unique blend of energy therapies and herbal prescriptions to assist her patients in sessions to assist individuals through self-healing.
