Hello Five Branches Alumni & Community,

It is with great honor that I write this message to so many of you leading the evolution in today’s healthcare system. Our esteemed graduates are now practicing Acupuncture & Traditional Chinese Medicine in unprecedented settings, such as in hospitals, cancer treatment centers, public health clinics, multidisciplinary integrative medicine clinics, community clinics, for Acupuncturists Without Borders, professional athletic teams, political and professional organizations, and many more. I am inspired and humbled to hear your stories and the positive impact that you are having on your communities, states, nation and the world.

The launch of the FBU Alumni Services campaign aims to close the gap between soon-to-graduate students and recent graduates with their established colleagues and leaders around the country and world. Our profession is strongest when we move with a united front, wherein we support our recent graduates with mentorship/internship opportunities and when we organize collectively to maintain and expand our scope of practice by pressuring politicians to honor and recognize our unique contribution to healthcare.

This campaign also aims to support our graduates by providing resources and trainings on patient relations, establishing and maintaining referrals, practice management, CEUs, Acupuncture & TCM policy nationally and internationally, job opportunities (locally, regionally, nationally and internationally), and many more topics. This campaign is a two-way street. If there are topics or resources that you feel are important for the profession, let us know. We want to strengthen and empower our profession as much as possible because it is our practitioners that are the face of this medicine and it is our practitioners that will continue to lead this profession and help so many people as we move further into the 21st century.

I look forward to the wonderful accomplishments our incredible graduates have achieved and continue to strive towards. Let us use our willingness to serve those in need, our integrity and humble compassion to be a beacon of hope and change for all.
