Hello Faculty, Students and Alumni –
I forward you this letter and urge to support CalATMA – our unified TCM organization in California.
Best,
Ron
Dear Five Branches Alumni, Students and Teachers!
As a Five Branches Alumni myself, I have been looking for an organization that can represent and unite us all ever since I became a student year ago. I felt that we need to speak in a unified voice and if we were all aligned behind one organization – we would be power to be reckoned with. Now I found such an organization – it is California Acupuncture and Traditional Medicine organization, or CalATMA.
CaLATMA is a unique acupuncture and TCM professional organization, whose primary mission is to unite acupuncturists in California as a political and economic force.
We are actively recruiting acupuncturists, schools, students, retirees, and industry partners to join us in our fight to expand our scope of practice, promote positive legislative change, and provide one voice representing our profession in Sacramento. In addition to representing our constituents in the legislative process, we want to provide substantial membership benefits in which you are most interested – CEUs, discounted rates on products, services such as insurance, legal support, and access to the popular industry events among others.
In order for us to have a fighting chance in making legislative change and powerfully represent the acupuncture and TCM profession, we must expand our ranks and build membership quickly. We need you. To make it easier to join, we provide multiple payment options, including monthly payment plans, and right now, for a limited time, you can become a Founding Member of CaLATMA with an incentive of $100 toward your 1st year membership.
We are currently working intensely on several fronts: building our web and social media presence, growing membership, working with various vendors to bring them into the fold, and providing and expanding other membership benefits. We have a lot to do, and time is of the essence. It is NOW more than ever, that we need your help and your participation.
All CalATMA members who join by November 30, 2018 will be eligible to vote for the inaugural Board of Trustees – your colleagues who will lead CalATMA into the future and stand on the front lines in the fight for our rights as a primary health care professionals. Voting will be conducted in several locations on December 9, 2018 in person, or can be completed online. We will provide profiles and relevant information for each candidate to all voting members prior to the voting deadline, so you know who you are selecting to represent you and our profession.
Without your voices, representation of our interests will not be complete. Of course, we are always looking for those of you who want to volunteer with us. There is no shortage of interesting and meaningful work at CalATMA!
Please, join us as a member, support CaLATMA elections once you have joined, and stand by for more exciting news about the growth of our organization in the coming weeks!
