Licensed Acupuncturist – Pleasant Wellness – Wakefield, MA USA

HOW WE TREAT:

• Acupuncture sessions: 45 minutes, 60 minutes, and 75-minute sessions (including cupping, body guasha, massage techniques)

• Massage appointments: 15 minutes, 30 minutes, and 60 minutes (if you also have a Massage Therapist license)

• Herbal consultation as well as cupping sessions are offered: 15 minutes, 30 minutes



RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:

• Evaluate and assess patient condition by conducting brief health history

• Administer acupuncture treatment using sterile, single use needles at specified locations to address patient and/or referring provider's chief complaint

• Evaluate effects of treatments by observing, noting, and evaluating patient's progress; modifying when necessary

• Document patient encounters by charting in our medical records system

• Educate patients on benefits and risks of acupuncture treatment

• Maintain safe and clean treatment environment and adhering to strict sanitary procedures

• Light cleaning and maintaining an inventory of supplies as needed



WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
• Someone who has experience working with Chinese herbal medicine (preferred)

• Candidates nationwide who are interested in relocating to Boston

• Willingness to learn and develop your professional and clinical skills. Must be dedicated to improving the quality of life of our patients, and enthusiastic about personal growth. There will be training, check-ins, reviews, and coaching to ensure we are all growing to our maximum potential.



JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Certified by the NCCAOM (National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine)

• College Degree

•1 year of experience as an acupuncturist (preferred)



KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

• Strong English communication skills (mandatory)

• Chinese language skills (preferred)

• Ability to make patients feel safe and comfortable during acupuncture treatments

• Exceptional time management and ability to treat multiple patients per hour

• Confident and positive disposition

• Able to stand and/or sit for long periods of time



CLINIC HOURS:
9AM-6PM

12AM-6PM

Weekends as needed



COMPENSATION:

Starting salary $60k-$100k / year (based on patient volume)
