Job Description

The Monterey Birth Center as we have known it is closing on September 1st. We are excited to help spread the word that there is an opportunity to keep at least one of the Birthing Rooms open. This space would be operated by Wifeys, Heather and Kelly, who would continue to take birthing clients who wish you birth in the beautiful rooms they created over 5 years ago. She would also plan to open up the space to other care providers who wish to use it for their clients wishing to have an out of hospital birthing experience. There is other space available within the Birthing Center including a community space, office, lab, laundry space, storage, kitchen, 3 treatment rooms, 2 bathrooms and a beautiful waiting area accompanied by a reception area.

The only way to keep an out of hospital birthing room option available is to share this space with others. We are asking that the community come together to help find a creative solution to keep this space open. If you have any leads to businesses that need space for their medical/wellness practice, community members who need space for workshops, or others interested in supporting this space, please have them reach out to Shauna Worthington via email at doulashauna@gmail.com. All suggestions are welcome. There is flexibility in budgets and space available.
