About the Employer

The Process of Healing Acupuncture and Herbs was founded in 2007 by myself, John Walz, MS.OM, L.Ac, BPS, AOS and my wife Delphine who is our office manager. I had the great good fortune to be a patient of and later study under Dr. Robert C. Sohn, Ph.D, L.Ac one of the early pioneers of Chinese Medicine in the US and first president of the AAAOM. In 1997, I was in the first graduating class of acupuncture students from the school he founded, the New York College of Health Professions, was invited to teach at the college shortly after graduating and joined the staff of the affiliated Wholistic Health Center. I went into private practice two years later. The Process of Healing was often voted Best of Yuba Sutter Acupuncture by the readers of the local Appeal-Democrat newspaper. We have treated about 3,000 patients with a variety of conditions patients in our 20 years of practice most often recieving very favorable reviews that are viewable on Google Maps and our website.

Job Description

Full time or part time Acupuncture and Herbal position immediately available within a busy practice with the option to purchase the practice from the owner/practitioner who is planning relocation and retirement.

Qualifications

A person who brings mindfulness into their practice who is knowledgeable, skilled, and emotionally committed to their work, open to learn, grow and develop is preferred. Two years of successful practice would be best, however, recent graduates and new licensees may apply.

Short Description

Our practice is located within a building that houses a thriving chiropractic and massage therapy practice in a medical area of the town. Although the majority of patients come to our office seeking pain relief, the practice includes the whole spectrum of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine treatment. You would become one of only three full time acupuncturists in Marysville/Yuba City and Sutter County, a population of about 120,000 people, about 30 minutes north of Sacramento. Our practice has been established in this area for about 20 years We are the only VA Community Care acupuncture provider in the area and are currently in the ASH network. My wife and office manager will arrange all scheduling and will do your insurance billing. Full Time practice at 50-60 patients per week was earning approximately $175,000 per year, part time practice at 20-25 patients per week is about $100,000 per year.
