Job Description

- Staffing is based on business needs

- The position is based in San Jose but could also include Cupertino

- Performs manual massage therapy

- Works with the Lead Acupuncturist to determine the optimal treatment plan for patients

- Provides physical evaluation techniques to determine muscle strength and joint stability

- Performs therapy to control pain, reduce stress, and promote relaxation

- Takes into consideration the medical history of the patient

- Uses therapeutic devices and techniques

- Prepares rooms for patient use, including changing sheets, pillows, and patient gowns

- Washes cups with approved washing standards to ensure sterility and makes sure that the carts/rooms are fully stocked with medical supplies

- Communicates patient concerns to the Lead Acupuncturist

- Maintains professionalism and positivity during interactions with patients

- Works effectively within a team environment

- Adheres to HIPAA laws and regulations (participate in ongoing HIPAA training)

- Paid training provided for tui na

- Takes SOAP (Subjective, Objective, Assessment, and Plan) notes to report assessments

Qualifications

San Jose applicants are required to complete a Live Scan, which includes a DOJ and FBI background check (this will be paid for qualifying applicants by Hongwei Medical Group).

Short Description

We are looking for a Licensed Massage Therapist to work in San Jose and possibly Cupertino as well.
