  • Work hours are 5 days per week, or as needed

  • Weekly min 28 hours

  • $25-35 DOE

About the Job

As an Acupuncturist at Pure Health Alliance, you will play a crucial role in providing personalized and effective acupuncture treatments to our diverse clientele. Your expertise in traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture techniques will help clients find relief from pain, stress, and other ailments, as well as improve their overall health.

Responsibilities

Include but not limited to: 

  • Conduct comprehensive initial consultations with clients to gather relevant medical history, assess health concerns, and determine treatment plans.

  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on clients' specific needs and conditions, applying your expertise in acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine.

  • Administer acupuncture treatments, strategically placing needles at specific points on the body to stimulate energy flow and promote natural healing.

  • Employ various complementary therapies, such as cupping, gua sha, moxibustion, manual therapy, and herbal remedies, to enhance the effectiveness of acupuncture treatments when appropriate.

  • Monitor clients' progress throughout the course of treatment, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans as needed for optimal results.

  • Educate clients about acupuncture procedures, benefits, and lifestyle adjustments to support their overall well-being.

  • Maintain accurate and detailed client records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and any relevant follow-up information.

  • Adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and sanitary treatment environment.

  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as chiropractors, naturopaths, and massage therapists, from outside organizations to provide comprehensive care for clients when necessary.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine through continuing education and professional development.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a school accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM) and / or equivalent training in an approved acupuncture tutorial program / apprenticeship 

  • Licensed Acupuncturist (LAc) in the State of California

  • Thorough knowledge of acupuncture techniques, skills, and procedures

  • Credentialed with most HMOs and PPOs


Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven experience in diagnosing and treating a wide range of health conditions using acupuncture and related therapies.

  • Strong knowledge of traditional Chinese medicine principles and diagnostic techniques.

  • Exceptional needle insertion skills and proficiency in various acupuncture techniques.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and address their individual needs.

  • Empathy and compassion for clients seeking natural healing and wellness solutions.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team.

  • Strong organizational skills to maintain accurate records and manage a diverse client base efficiently.

  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with advancements in acupuncture and related fields.

  • Strong knowledge of sports medicine acupuncture and pain management.

Short Description

Pure Health Alliance is seeking to hire a part-time acupuncturist to join our team as we begin expansion to other locations. A positive, kind, upbeat yet calm and grounded energy is required, even when in a busy and fast-paced setting.
