At East West Integrative Medicine Clinic we provide our clients with individualized treatment that supports their overall wellness. We have been in operation for 19 years and currently have three locations in San Francisco. We are a team of knowledgeable and friendly practitioners that include acupuncturists, massage therapists, and other specialties.Job Description
We are looking for an individual interested in 12-24 client hours per week (a minimum of two shifts). As a part-time employee, the pay rate is paid per client and dependent on experience and specialty training. There is the opportunity to transition to a full-time position that includes additional benefits (healthcare stipend, malpractice coverage, and CEU reimbursement).Qualifications
You’re a Licensed Acupuncturist in the state of California, with an unrestricted licenseSpanish-speaking practitioner strongly preferred
At least two years professional experience in Traditional Chinese Medicine and all that falls under this scope: acupuncture, herbalism, cupping, moxibustion
Willing to become an in-network provider with San Francisco Health Plan
You are skilled at describing the usage of herbs, supplements, and other appropriate lifestyle modifications to improve client outcomes
Understand contraindications and/or pharmaceutical combinations to ensure safe compliance with herbs and supplements
Understand and deliver on the documentation requirements for billing insurance
You’re adept with EHR and online scheduling systems
You’re willing to work some evenings and/or weekends as needed by the clinic
Able to provide massage or other bodywork modalities that complement your acupuncture treatment is a plus
Professional training or experience in providing care for clients who have experienced trauma, housing insecurity, and/or addiction is a plus
Short Description
You believe in inclusive healthcare for every person, and embrace this value in your everyday life. You have the ability to maintain composure and a friendly demeanor while treating two clients per hour, turning over rooms, charting, and scheduling clients.Experience working independently and/or in a community practice is preferred.
Experience providing care for LGBTQ-identified clients and immigrant and/or English-as-a-second-language populations.
