Elaine is a Licensed Acupuncturist in both Connecticut and California. She is certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine as a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM-Dipl.O.M.). Elaine practices at Norwalk Hospital as part of their Integrative Medicine Program.
Elaine earned her four-year Masters of Science degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) at Five Branches University in California, one of the most highly reputable Chinese medicine schools in the US, founded over 25 years ago. She also completed an externship at Zhejiang Chinese Medical University in Hangzhou, China, working in hospitals where Traditional Chinese Medicine and Western medical disciplines are integrated. Elaine has a B.A. from Dartmouth College. She was a practicing attorney for 11 years before studying Traditional Chinese Medicine.
She has specialized training in women’s health including pregnancy, fertility, menopause and menstrual issues; pediatrics; cancer; Hepatitis C; facial rejuvenation and Five Element acupuncture. She also provides stress management and treats emotional issues including anxiety and depression; pain management; allergies; digestive and sleep issues.
