About the Employer

Box Acupuncture is located next to Good Samaritan Hospital. We are a very busy acupuncture clinic that has 3 treatment rooms rotating 30 minutes to hourly. We are in-network with most insurance companies, worker's compensation, and work with professional athletes.

Our practice is a general practice, but we do have some emphasis on sports and orthopedic medicine, internal medicine, digestive disorders, pain management, and facial/cosmetic acupuncture. In addition, we are always looking to add new specialties and practitioners to the clinic in hopes of becoming an integrative and co-operative medicine clinic.

Our believe is that Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine, and Traditional Chinese Medicine in general is focused on preventive health, corrective health, in addition to being able to integrate with the Western Medicine Paradigm.

Job Description

As a PT/FT Licensed Acupuncturist, it is your responsibility to communicate effective treatment plans with our patients and eventually your patients. You must be well versed in anatomy and physiology, western medicine terminology, as well as understand and be able to explain Traditional Chinese Medicine/Acupuncture using biomedical terminology.

Exceptional customer service, communication, note-taking/SOAP note skills are required and a must. You must be a people person. The ideal candidate has experience in retail/customer service, fluent in English, and a team-player. If you specialize in something other than what's listed above, great! Understanding Insurance Billing is a +, but we can teach you as well. Familiarity with the EHR Unified Practice is a + as well.

Multilingual is a +.

Must have graduated from an ACAOM accredited Acupuncture Program, be DTCM or DAOM ideally, have somewhat of a Sports Medicine background if possible, and have at least 1 year of experience as a Licensed Acupuncturist, but not necessary if you are willing to learn and are eager to use and treat this medicine to help people heal.

Compensation is hourly plus commission/production. Paid time off is available as well as other benefits like health insurance, retirement options, and funds set aside for CEU's/License Renewal. Must be able to work at least 2-3 days a week and some weekends.

We are generally open, Mondays and Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays and will be expanding to Sunnyvale in August at a 2nd location.

Qualifications

California Acupuncture Board Licensed

NCCAOM licensed (ideally)

Must have your own malpractice/professional liability insurance

CPR/AED BLS qualified

Certifications/Education: DAOM/DTCM; Ideally taken Dr. Tan's Balance Method course from the Academy of Acupuncture, Must be familiar and able to use E-Stim Acupuncture, Cosmetic Acupuncture Certified as well as ideally Microneedling Certified.
