About the Employer

I have been in practice for 35 years and have a fairly busy practice.  I went to ACTCM and got an OMD from China way before they were offered in the states.  I have a very well appointed office and 8 treatment rooms.  I love my patients and my job.  I dress professionally and run a timely practice seeing 4 to 5 patients per hour.  I treat mostly pain, some fertility and allergy and everything else imaginable in small bits.

Job Description

I need a part-time secretary and I also have space to start your own practice.  Working at my office for me you would meet the patients and be much more likely to have them consider seeing you when I am not here which would boost your practice starting.  My practice is heavily insurance and work comp so it will be quite an education in practice management, collections from insurance, verification and efficiency management.  The education will be extremely worthwhile.

Qualifications

I will take an acupuncture student or an acupuncturist.  I would like to have someone that wants to start a practice here in the hours when I am not here but just a secretary or just an acupuncturist is acceptable.  I seriously need a secretary as my one secretary is leaving and needs to be replaced.  Hours are Mon and Fri 9:30 to 12:30 or 1, Tues-Wed-Thurs noon to 5 to 7 depending on how busy it is.  Hours are slightly flexible.  However, I can't manage busy days without anyone here and I need someone that is reliable.  That being said, I am a reasonably flexible person.  I have a secretary that has been with me for over 20 years that works 3 mornings from 7am to noon.

Short Description

Office management and/or acupuncturist space/some referrals opportunity. Experienced or not, will train, have to be reasonably computer savvy.
