La Vie is the largest farmers market probiotic drinks vendor in California serving the healthiest, purest and the most delicious foods and drinks. Job Description

We are looking for enthusiastic, hard working, and passionate Five Branches students to work at our booth at farmers markets throughout the Bay Area over the weekends. This is an opportunity to connect with health conscious, like-minded clients throughout the Bay Area and in your community. Participating markets include Los Gatos, Campbell, Mountain View, San Mateo, Alameda, Jack London, Pleasanton, Walnut Creek, Danville, San Rafael, Fort Mason, and more. The ideal employee has an interest in a healthy lifestyle and understands the impact that nourishing food has on helping people live better lives - physically, mentally, and spiritually. The quality employee will also have great customer service skills, will be able to communicate clearly, can take direction and effectively completes tasks, can work in a fast paced environment, can lift/drag up to 50 pounds, is friendly and personable….and has fun! Compensation is $15/hour + commission. Good marketeers make anywhere from $25 and up with commission.

Qualifications

- Ideally some level of prior exposure to probiotic, healthy lifestyle and fermentation
- Prior farmer's market vending is desirable, but not required. Attitude and aptitude are most important.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds, carry and set up a 10x10 commercial-duty canopy (we will teach you), lift and lower full ice chests
- Basic math skills for retail
- Attention to detail, capacity and curiosity to learn
- Valid CA driver's license

Short Description

- Arrive at the market on-time and set up the tent, stall, displays, and signage
- Answer customer questions about the benefits of each drink and all the details that go into the products
- Make sales to meet or exceed minimum expectations for volumes of each product sold
- Interact with and provide accurate information to the health inspector
- Maintain cold chain and packaging quality throughout the market day
- Break down the stall, organize leftover product, and fill out the paperwork correctly
- Drive the vans to the market and unload if needed.
- Having a car that can fit market supplies will be a plus and compensated differently (higher amount)
